Red Maggie’s rise raises great expectations

History (and her story) will show that significant minds turned to Gillard on Monday evening, when ABC broadcast ‘Vincent and the Doctor’. It’s on record that strong men wept at that sensitive portrayal of a remarkable person, a genius lost for love and at the mercy of his own brilliant visions. It coincided with Rudd Labor’s casual disregard for the weakest of our brothers and sisters, those who are unable to advocate for themselves, those unfortunates brought down with mental illness, especially young people struck by psychosis.
